Mission: To conduct multi-research and development of novel materials for future sustainable energy utilization. Focused research includes materials for energy conversion, hydrocarbon fuels and modified rubber and plastic products.

Mission: In the Extraction laboratory, the research fields are divided into 3 categories. The first
field is the development of new materials for high performance and cost
effective electrochemical energy storage devices, such as metalion and metalair batteries and proton exchange membrane fuel cells. The second field is the development of a wide range of functional porous materials as heterogeneous catalysts and solid sorbents for efficient production of renewable chemicals and high valueadded products from plantbased feedstocks to promote circular bioeconomy. The last field
is the development of extraction methods for natural products including the development of supercritical carbon dioxide
(SCCO2) technique with significant advantages over conventional methods.
